Dr. David L Berry

Dr. Berry was born in Lubbock, Texas and raised in Midland and Austin. He is a graduate of Westlake High School and the University of Texas in Austin. He received his Medical Doctorate from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.

His specific interests and expertise lie in prenatal diagnosis (ultrasound and invasive testing), critical care obstetrics, medical complications of pregnancy, preterm labor and premature rupture of the membranes, pre-eclampsia, diabetes, hypertension, infectious disease and cancer/trauma in pregnancy. He is well published in the scientific literature and headed Seton Medical Center as the Section Chief of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology from 2007 – 2009.

Dr. Berry completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology (Ob/Gyn) at John Peter Smith Hospital in Ft. Worth in 1995 and his fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) from the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston in 1997. He is the Founder and President of Austin Perinatal Associates where he has practiced since July of 1997. He is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in both Ob/Gyn and MFM.

Dr. Berry is the father of four daughters, inventor of techniques to reseal ruptured membranes, author of two books (personal finance and myths of pregnancy).
